Reflection of 2017

We're a few days into 2018 and many of us get lost in the pressure of trying to decide how to make it better than 2017. But before you plan your new year take a moment to reflect on the great things that happened to you in 2017. Ask yourself what you're proud of from the previous year. It doesn't have to be anything major (sadly no one can say they ended the idea of poverty or disease...but hey, there is this year!).

Reflecting on what we're proud of can help us refocus ourselves and better prepare for what we're aiming for.

My short list of what I'm proud of are:

1) I went on a group vacation (never actually done that as an adult), drove the van (largest vehicle I've driven to date) and no one died (yes, that is an accomplishment).
2) On the same trip Ollivander described my wand (yes, I'm a big kid and proud of it)
3) I built a wooden chest with no assistance from anyone else (and it can hold my weight!)
4) I slept in (I am usually up at 5am all the time but one day out of 2017 I didn't get out of bed until 11:30am and it felt great!)
5) I wrote a shorty story book and published it.

That's just a short idea of how your list can be (and you can make it as long as you want...hell it might be longer than you initially thought it would be if you actually reflect on how 2017 was for you.

Ah yes and the photo above was taken with my Sony Alpha a5000 on the island of Eleuthera.
