More under the surface

People can be akin to bodies of water -- some are quick and powerful like a river, others are vast and full of depth like the ocean, while others have the  depth of a puddle. But no matter what body of water you liken a person to there is still so much under the surface. There are those who are serene lakes on the surface but host a plethora of carnivores reptiles beneath. Then there are those who  are beautiful like the oceans in the Caribbean but have bodies or treasure beneath.

Really, people will only let you know as much as they want you to know....or feel comfortable  with sharing. And you will only understand them as much as you are willing to to submerge within them in order to explor their depths -- forcing your way in without preparations only leads to complications.  And even if you are the most experienced diver in the world you might find a cavern that  takes you out of your depth  or something more dangerous than you anticipated. But even the most dreary looking bodies of water host some amazing experiences. Just like its hard to judge a book by its covers it's even more difficult to judge a body of water by its surface.

The best way to find out about bodies of water is to test them, you can do all the research you want but it will not prepare you for  your particular interactions with it. You might be someone who is afraid to shark dive but once you're in that cage you may love it beyond anything else! Sure you may want to bait the waters some and enjoy the spectacle (may not want to be there all night/day) or you may think lakes are nasty but have yet to experience the joys of being in one yourself on  a hot afternoon.

People are more than how they look. The most charming man you've ever met might be the biggest asshole in the city or that woman you think is a bitch could be a sweatheart to those she loves.  And that child who is rude....might just be rude because they like to be (not everything has to  be contrary but you will never know if you don't explore).

Humans are social creatures, even if you hate people there are likely a few you enjoy. Go and explore their depths ...if they let you.
