Dream chasing...

When you go to bed at night what's your last thought? How about when you wake up? Where does your mind drift during the day? Are you doing something that makes you happy? If you aren't then why not? What/Who is holding you back? Is it difficult? Would it be worth it? How do you know if you aren't doing it?

Those are just a few of the questions that have been running through my mind over the past few weeks and I've concluded that dreams are meant to be chased until they are caught. At that point they can be nurtured into something more. Dreams are difficult to catch for many of us though...we'll run and run after them but never actually catch them. Hell, sometimes we don't even get close! But as we keep failing alot of us tend to believe thats just the way it is; we don't get to live our dreams because they aren't feasible.

That is a mixture of horse and bullshit! When we fail we figure we believe that is what we simply are...failures. The magic happens when we get up and try to chase our dreams a little differently. If running doesn't work, then you swim. If that doesn't work then you learn to fly. Maybe you just needed to save up and purchase a car or had to strength train. The point is you keep trying and look at all the angles!

Giving up on our dreams seems like a waste of potential. Being envious of others' success is also a waste of energy; time too and both of those are precious commodities that shouldn't be wasted. And failing isn't a waste of time. Its a lesson you needed to learn.

The takeaway is: "Get off your arse and go after your dreams because no one else will do it for you!"
